Gerard Gregg-Smith, Managing Director of GGS Associates,
is a life sciences and financial services specialist. He started his
career with 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, at Chugai Pharmaceuticals
in Japan, and Glaxo in the UK. Over the next 15 years in investment
banking at Barings, Flemings, Rabobank and KPMG Corporate Finance,
he advised healthcare and life sciences companies, living and working
in Asia, the US and Europe. Since 2004 he has worked in sector-focused
senior executive search. He founded GGS Associates in 2006.
Media interviews and articles include television
(CNN), the Financial Times, and trade journals including Scrip and
Pharma Japan. He has presented at and chaired sessions at conferences
in the UK, Ireland and India. He speaks fluent Japanese, French and
German, won a Japanese speech contest on Japanese national television,
and plays tenor saxophone.
